Man Attacks Store Owner, Steals $1K: West Chester Police
West Chester police reported arrests in March.
WEST CHESTER, PA — Several arrests were reported by the West Chester Police Department in their latest monthly summary of incidents.
- A man, 50, of West Chester, is free on $100,000 bail on robbery and related charges after being arraigned before District Judge Marian Vito in West Chester. Police said he entered a store in the 100 block of East Market Street and assaulted a store owner, before fleeing with $1,000.
- A woman, 43, of Pottstown, is charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property. Police said she shoplifted unidentified items on Dec. 26 at Ace Hardware, 720 W. Strasburg Road.
- A man, 18, of West Chester, is free on $10,000 bail on charges of assaulting and threatening a victim on March 20 at the Audubon Manor Apartments, 226 N. Everhart St.
- A man, 27,of West Chester is charged with simple assault and harassment for assaulting a victim on March 17 at the Metropolitan Apartment complex, 302 E. Marshall St.
- A man, 29, Exton, is charged with drunken driving after police stopped him at 2:44 a.m. on March 14 in the 700 block of North High Street. Police said he was taken to the police station until he became sober.
