West Chester Police Log: Arrests March 20 To April 2

Police reports are to inform the public of reported criminal activity. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven or pleading guilty.

WEST CHESTER — West Chester police reported crime news including several strangulations and drunken driving cases during the last two weeks in March.

  • Edilia Alvarez-Flores, 32, of West Chester is in Chester County Prison in lieu of $20,000 on charges of burglary, simple assault, criminal trespassing and recklessly endangering another person. Police said Alvarez broke into a residence in the 100 block of North Everhart Street on April 2 and assaulted three individuals.
  • John Isaiah Ray, 33, of West Chester is in Chester County Prison in lieu of $50,000 after being arraigned on charges of strangulation and simple assault. Police said he assaulted a woman on March 27 in the 100 block of East Minor Street.
  • Taj Ameer Montgomery, 20, of Philadelphia is in Chester County Prison in lieu of $25,000 on charges of theft, receiving stolen property and weapon offenses. Police stopped Montgomery on March 30 in the 100 block of West Market Street in a reported stolen vehicle and found an unlicensed weapon in the vehicle.
  • Andie Jimenez, 24, of the 100 block of East Market Street, is free on $75,000 bail awaiting a preliminary hearing on charges of strangulation, simple assault, and related charges. Police said they responded on March 20 to a report of a disturbance in the 100 block of East Market Street.
  • Robert E. Moreland, 70, of West Chester, was arrested on March 31 at Bradford Avenue and Sharpless Street on charges of drunken driving and related charges.
  • John Christopher Bilotti, 51, of West Chester, is free on $50,000 bail after being arraigned on charges of strangulation and simple assault on March 27 in the 400 block of Brookmeade Drive.
