West Chester Voter Guide: Who's On Ballot, Where To Vote

Nov. 4 is Election Day. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

WEST CHESTER, PA — Election Day is Nov. 4 in Pennsylvania, with several key municipal and state races on the ballot.

In West Chester, four candidates are running for two open school director slots in Region 3: Laura Detre, Beth Campbell, Ashley Padula, and Alain Oliver.

Other school director Region races in West Chester are not contested.

In the race for the West Chester borough council's 1st Ward, Democrat Jerry Szczepaniak faces Republican John McDonald.

Lillian L. DeBaptiste is running unopposed for West Chester mayor, Brian McGinnis is running. unopposed in the 3rd ward, Lisa Kearns is running unopposed for West Chester borough council in the 7th ward, and Stephen Marvin is running unopposed in the 5th ward.

Several Chester County-wide races are also on the ballot for West Chester voters. That includes prothonary, where Democrat Alex Christy faces Republican Christopher Thompson.

The Clerk of Courts race features Democrat Caroline Bradley against Republican Alissa McGrory.

In the coroner's race, Democrat Sophia Garcia Jackson faces Republican Thomas John Hatzidais, while in the treasurer's race, Democrat Patricia A. Maisano faces Republican Deana Wang.

In the statewide Judge of the Superior Court race, Democrat Brandon Neuman faces Republican Maria Battista and Liberal Daniel Wassmer.

In the Commonwealth Court election, Democrat Stella Tsai faces Republican Matt Wolford.

And finally, in the Jury Commissioner race, Democratic Andrea Bapitste faces Republican Merry Broderick Woods.

Polls will open Tuesday, Nov. 4 at 7 a.m. Voters can cast ballots up until 8 p.m.
