16 Vehicle Crimes Reported In Lower Makefield

The Lower Makefield Township Police Department released its blotter of criminal incidents for the past week.

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — Thefts and attempted thefts from vehicles highlighted the criminal incidents the Lower Makefield Township Police Department reported in its blotter of crimes for the past week.

These are the criminal incidents:

IDENTITY THEFT — 1000 block of Randolph Drive, reported at 7:30 a.m. The complainant reported receiving alerts that credit card accounts were opened in their name.

ATTEMPTED THEFT FROM VEHICLE — 300 block of Dunhill Way, reported at 10:32 a.m. The complainant reported at 5:45 a.m., two unknown person(s) attempted to enter the locked vehicle. The incident was recorded on a surveillance camera.

IDENTITY THEFT —Unit block of Concord Lane, reported at 11:59 a.m. The complainant reported that an unknown person(s) used their information to open an unemployment claim.

Sept. 21

DISORDERLY CONDUCT — Unit block of Vernon Lane, reported at 11:34 a.m. The complainant reported a burglary in progress at the location. Further investigation revealed a resident of the home spoke to the man but did not know he was coming over. He attempted to gain entry through a window using a ladder. The 18-year-old township man will be cited for Disorderly Conduct.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT — 1700 block of Dobry Road, reported at 5:58 a.m. The complainant reported an unoccupied vehicle in the parking lot of Remington of Yardley, running with the keys in the ignition. An employee witnessed three vehicles arrive, including this vehicle, and a man in a ski mask exit the vehicle, and enter another vehicle before fleeing. The vehicle was registered to a resident on Dobry Road. The owner of the vehicle confirmed their 2010 Ford Edge was stolen. The vehicle was recovered by police. An investigation is ongoing.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE:

  • 200 block of Ballytore Court, reported at 7:54 a.m. Police responded to the area for the report of multiple thefts from vehicles. While surveilling the area, an officer noticed a vehicle with its driver side door open. The owners were contacted and reported a registration card missing.
  • 200 block of Clover Hill Court, reported at 7:10 a.m. The complainant reported that sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and removed a small amount of currency. Their other vehicle was rummaged through, but nothing was reported missing at this time.
  • 200 block of Yellow Springs Court, reported at 8:37 a.m. Police responded to the area for the report of multiple thefts from vehicles. While surveilling the area, an officer noticed a vehicle that was rummaged through. The owner was contacted and reported a registration card missing.
  • 200 block of Clover Hill Court, reported at 8 a.m. The complainant reported that sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and removed $5.
  • 100 block of Taylorsville Road, reported at Noon. The complainant reported that sometime between Aug. 1 and Sept. 21, an unknown person(s) removed their license plate from their vehicle.

ATTEMPTED THEFT FROM VEHICLE:

  • 200 block of Ballytore Court, reported at 8:52 a.m. Police responded to the area for the report of multiple thefts from vehicles. While surveilling the area, an officer noticed a vehicle that was rummaged through. The owners were contacted, and nothing was reported missing at this time.

  • 200 block of Yellow Springs Court, reported at 8:57 a.m. Police responded to the area for the report of multiple thefts from vehicles. While surveilling the area, an officer noticed a vehicle that was rummaged through. The owners were contacted, and nothing was reported missing at this time.
  • 100 block of Coventry Court, reported at 8:56 a.m. Police were stopped by a resident who had video of an unknown person attempting to enter their locked vehicle sometime overnight. Nothing was reported missing as entry was not gained.
  • 200 block of Clover Hill Court, reported at 7:55 a.m. The complainant reported that sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and rummaged through it. Nothing was reported missing at this time.
  • 200 block of Clover Hill Court, reported at 8 a.m. The complainant reported that sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and rummaged through it. Nothing was reported missing at this time.
  • 200 block of Clover Hill Court, reported at 8:05 a.m. Police responded to the area for the report of multiple thefts from vehicles. While surveilling the area, an officer noticed a vehicle that was rummaged through. The owners were contacted, and nothing was reported missing at this time.
  • 200 block of Yellow Springs Court, reported at 9:28 a.m. The complainant reported sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and rummaged through it. Nothing was reported missing at this time.

Sept. 20

SOLICITING WITHOUT PERMIT — Unit block of Kenmore Road, reported at 2:35 p.m. The complainant reported a solicitor in the area soliciting without a permit. They were advised to cease soliciting until a permit was obtained.
