LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Lower Makefield Township Police Department reported several crimes that occurred in the area between Friday, March 11, and Monday, March 14.

Friday, March 11

- A report of fraud was made from the 200 block of Dolington Road at 10:11 a.m. The complainant reported receiving a notification to contact their bank and proceeded to transfer $17,000 to an unknown account. Their bank later confirmed this was a fraudulent notification and transaction.
- A burglary was reported from the 1200 block of Bridle Estates Drive at 11:16 p.m. The complainant reported an unknown person, possibly more than one, entering their home through an unlocked rear door and removing a watch and $3,220.
Monday, March 14

- A case of fraud was reported from the 400 block of Cedar Hollow Road at 6:15 p.m. The complainant reported receiving a text asking them to authorize an Amazon purchase. After contacting the telephone number provided, the victim was scammed into purchasing $2,500 worth of gift cards and providing the numbers to the person on the other line.
- A case of fraud was reported from the 1600 block of Edgewood Road at 6:38 p.m. The complainant reported receiving a call from who they believed to be PECO and proceeded to wire $3,488 for what they believed were new electric meters.
IDENTITY THEFT:
- A case of identity theft was reported from the 900 block of Queens Drive at 9:35 a.m. The complainant reported an unknown person, possibly more than one, using their information to open a cell phone account in their name.
- A case of identity theft was reported from the 1700 block of Yardley Road at 2:35 p.m. The complainant reported an unknown person, possibly more than one, opening a bank account in their name.
