22 Counterfeit Bills Passed, Fugitive Caught: Lower Makefield Crimes

Sept. 11
FRAUD — 1700 block of Langhorne-Yardley Rd. at Edgewood Paper Co., reported at 10:01 a.m. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) ordered $60,000 worth of paper. A follow-up indicated that the order was fraudulent.

Sept. 9
FRAUD:
- 300 block of Oxford Valley Road, reported at 11:52 a.m. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) attempted to change their direct deposit bank account with their employer.
- 1400 block of Ridgewood Lane, reported at 3:15 p.m. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) intercepted a check and altered it. Total loss $4,576.93.
THEFT:
- 700 block of Stony Hill Road at Giant, reported at 1:02 p.m. An employee reported that an unknown man used 22 counterfeit bills for a purchase of $419.01. An investigation is ongoing.
- 1100 block of Colts Lane, reported at 5:50 p.m. The complainant reported the theft of an electric lawnmower by an unknown man.
Sept. 8
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE —Edgewood Road and Heacock Road, reported at 1:38 p.m. Police on patrol received an alert for a wanted person. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle. A records check revealed the 38-year-old male passenger from Camden, N.J., was wanted out of Mercer County, N.J. He was taken into police custody. He was arraigned by District Justice Kronnagel and sent to BCCF in lieu of $50,000/10 percent bail.
Sept. 7
ACCIDENT & DUI ARRESTS:
- Stoopville Road and Route 532, reported at 8:13 a.m. Police responded to the report of a one-vehicle accident into a utility pole. Further investigation led to the arrest of the 46-year-old male driver from Lawrence Township, N.J. for Driving Under the Influence.
- 300 block of Ramsey Road, reported at 10:10 p.m. Police responded to the report of a one-vehicle accident at the location. Further investigation led to the arrest of a juvenile male driver from Lower Makefield Township for Driving Under the Influence.
Sept. 6
DISORDERLY CONDUCT — 300 block of Oxford Valley Road at Niko’s, reported at 8:23 p.m. Police responded to the report of a disorderly person at the location. The 52-year-old Newtown man was cited for Disorderly Conduct and Public Drunkenness.
