2nd Bucks Co. Wegmans Prepares For Grand Opening
Wegmans is expected to open its second supermarket in Bucks County in March. Construction is now complete and preparations are being made

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —Construction work on the exterior of Bucks County's second Wegmans supermarket has now been completed.
With a grand opening planned for March 20, the 88,000-square-foot store at Prickett Preserve has now been turned over to the operations team, right on schedule, said Marcie Rivera, who is coordinating public relations for the store.
Rivera said the operations team is focused on preparing for opening day, which includes setting up the store for customers as well as on-site training for employees, including testing new equipment and recipes in both the bakery and prepared foods departments.

The store will employ 415 people, 155 of which will be full-time workers and 260 part-timers.
Patch was the first media in the Philadelphia region to get a sneak peek at a tour of the new building in November.
While Bucks County boasts a Wegmans in Warrington Township, this second store will serve as a retail crown jewel for Lower Bucks County, one of 17 Wegmans in the Pennsylvania/Delaware region and among 110 stores overall.
The Wegmans is the centerpiece of the Prickett Preserve development, which includes nine multi-family buildings containing 200 apartment units plus a clubhouse with a pool, and seven commercial buildings totaling 52,000 square feet.
Firebirds Wood Fired Grill will be opening its first Bucks County location there as well.
Plans were approved for the project by DeLuca Homes in April 2021.
(Wegmans) The interior of the second Bucks County Wegmans will now begin to take shape as opening day of the supermarket nears in March.
