4 Months Later, Yardley Search For Jax Continues
Tuesday was the German shepherd/lab mix's birthday. He got away near the Black Rock Road entrance to the Delaware Canal path on Oct. 29.

YARDLEY, PA — Somewhere in or around Yardley, Jax turned one year old on Tuesday.
Now, his owner — who hasn't given up in her search for the German shepherd/lab mix who went missing along the Delaware Canal in October — just wants him home to celebrate.
"You’ve been living the high life up in Yardley for almost 4 months now. I miss your doofy self so much," read a post Tuesday on the Bring Jax Home Facebook page. "Please do us all a favor and show yourself. We wanna celebrate your special day, and I can’t think of anything better than belly rubs, peanut butter KONGs and the warmth of Mommy’s bed.

He's been written about online by the mayor and, as recently as Sunday, a group of volunteers got together to hand out or post 300 new fliers and 1,200 cards with Jax's picture and information on them.
Many owners may have given up by now. But his owner and others stay confident they'll find Jax. There was a reported citing of him Sunday morning, and another before that last week.
Jax is from Barrington, N.J., and got away from his dog sitters who live in the area. He was wearing a red and gray collar and is micro-chipped, according to his owner.
What's made things tricky, searchers think, is that Jax tends to be nervous around strangers.
They urge anyone who sees him not to chase him or call out but, instead, to call or text a photo of him. A trained team is waiting to respond to sightings to set up a system that will lure him to safety.
If you see Jax, you're asked to call or text 215-906-2090.
