Attempted Burglary, Wegmans Theft: Lower Makefield Crimes
The Lower Makefield Township Police Department has released its blotter of criminal incidents for the past week.
LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —Several fraud and theft cases were among the criminal incidents the Lower Makefield Township Police Department reported in its blotter for the past week.

FRAUD —500 Block of Heritage Oak Drive at 9:47 a.m. The complainant reports that their QVC account was hacked and a purchase of $333.85 was made by an unknown person. The complaint filed a fraud complaint and was refunded the full amount back to their account.

FRAUD —200 Block of Emerald Drive at 9:53 a.m. The complainant reports they were notified that an account of theirs was linked to fraudulent activity. They were advised to open a second account to rectify this. After doing so, the complainant realized that they had been scammed in the amount of $85,000. The crime is under investigation.
THEFT —Block of Lenape Lane at 9:33 a.m. The complainant reports that they hired a company to do work on their flooded home. They were permitted to come and go. When the victim returned, they realized that there was property missing from the residence. The loss was about $5,390. The theft is under investigation.
Feb. 10
THEFT —400 Block of Floral Vale Boulevard at 5:20 p.m. The complainant reports that they had a business check cashed by an unknown male for $7,367.14. The theft is under investigation.

DUI —Creamery and Dolington at 10:11 p.m. The complainant reports seeing a vehicle go through a stop sign and end up in a cornfield. Police arrived and contacted the driver who was then placed under arrest for DUI.
THEFT —900 Block of Vansant Drive at 12:16 p.m. Wegmans reports that a retail theft occurred on Feb. 8. The loss is $385.90.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF —200 Block of Arborlea Avenue at 9:40 a.m. The complainant reports that unknown persons threw eggs at their house sometime overnight.
Feb. 8
BURGLARY — 800 Block of Henry Drive at 12:16 p.m. Police responded to an attempted burglary. Police determined there was forced entry into the home. There was no property reported missing at the time of the report.
