LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Lower Makefield Township Police Department reported several crimes that occurred in the area between Friday, Feb. 11, and Thursday, March 10.

Monday, March 7

- A burglary was reported on the 1500 block of Brookfield Road at 9:54 a.m. The complainant reported that an unknown person, possibly more than one, forced entry into their residence by smashing a rear door open. The master bedroom was ransacked. The investigation is ongoing.
Tuesday, March 8
- A case of identity theft was reported from the 1200 block of Shetland Ct. at 9:46 a.m. The complainant reported an unknown person, possibly more than one, opening a bank account in their name.
- A case of identity theft was reported from the 500 block of Kings Rd. at 2:49 p.m.The complainant reported an unknown person, possibly more than one, opening a bank account in their name.
- A report of credit card fraud was reported from the 600 block of Rosalind Run at 11:40 a.m. The complainant reported unauthorized use of a credit card in the amount of $100.

- A case of identity theft was reported from the unit block of Black Rock Road at 12:53 p.m. The complainant reported an unknown person, possibly more than one, filing for unemployment benefits in their name.
Thursday, March 10
- A report of credit card fraud was made from the unit block of Milton Drive at 10:50 a.m. The complainant reported unauthorized use of a credit card in the amount of $2,525.98.
- A report of credit card fraud was made from the 2100 block of Yardley-Morrisville Road at 1:19 p.m. The complainant reported unauthorized use of a credit card in the amount of $37,400.
- A report of fraud was made from the 6800 block of Spruce Mill Drive at 10:30 a.m. The complainant reported making a luxury watch purchase with a legitimate dealer. Upon receiving an email from a fraudulent email address, similar to the legitimate one, the victim wired $58,000.
- A report of attempted retail theft was made from the 1600 block of Big Oak Road at Shop Rite at 8:53 p.m. The manager reported three unknown individuals entering the store, each with shopping carts, and filled them with various seafood items. The two females left the carts and fled the store on foot while the male attempted to exit the store with a cart covered with a blanket. Upon being confronted, the male fled without the cart.
