Big Oak Road To Be Repaved In 2020 (ICYMI)

A local lawmaker announced on Thursday that the paving project has been moved up from 2021.

YARDLEY, PA — Big Oak Road, which runs from the Middletown area to Morrisville, will be paved in 2020, a local lawmaker announced Thursday.

State Rep. Perry Warren, a Democrat from Yardley, made the announcement on Facebook. He said that he has urged PennDOT to move up work on the road that had been scheduled in 2021 since he was elected three years ago.

"Well, good news today!" Warren wrote. "You spoke. We spoke. PennDOT listened."

Warren said that nearly half the calls his office has received about road conditions have been about Big Oak Road.

Warren thanked state Sen. Steve Santarsiero and Rep. John Galloway, whose district neighbor's Warren's, for also supporting putting the project on the fast track.
