LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —The Lower Makefield Township Police Department has released its blotter of recent criminal incidents, including one case of blackmail and extortion.

SOLICITING WITHOUT PERMIT — 500 block of Southridge Circle, reported at 11:41 a.m. The complainant reported solicitors in the area soliciting without permits. They were advised to cease soliciting until a permit was obtained.

WANTED PERSON — Pine Grove Road and Big Oak Road, reported at 5:48 a.m. Police on patrol received an LPR hit on a vehicle for a wanted person. A records check revealed the 41-year-old Bensalem man was wanted by the Bucks County Sheriff's. Office. He was taken into police custody.

RETAIL THEFT — 1600 block of Big Oak Road at Kohl’s, reported at 2:37 p.m. Police responded to the report of a retail theft in progress. Further investigation led to the arrest of a 29-year-old woman from Trenton, N.J., for taking $2,044.46 worth of merchandise without paying. She was charged with Retail Theft, Receiving Stolen Property, Conspiracy, and False ID to Law Enforcement, and a 28-year-old woman from Trenton, N.J., for taking $1.384.36 worth of merchandise without paying. She was charged with Retail Theft, Receiving Stolen Property, and Conspiracy. They were arraigned by District Justice Kronnagel and sent to BCCF in lieu of $50,000 10 percent bail.

WEAPONS ARREST — Oxford Valley Road and Route 1, led to the arrest of the 35-year-old male driver from Willingboro, N.J. for Possession of Firearms and related charges. He was arraigned and sent to BCCF in lieu of $75,000 10 percent bail.
IDENTITY THEFT — 1600 block of South Crescent Boulevard, reported at 11:25 a.m. The complainant reported unknown person(s) opened a T-Mobile account in their name.
BLACKMAIL & EXTORTION — 1100 block of Dickinson Drive, reported at 4:28 p.m. The complainant reported that an unknown person(s) was blackmailing them to provide full access to their lost/stolen cell phone.
Aug. 2
DRUG ARREST — 500 block of W. Trenton Ave. reported at 10:17 p.m. Police on patrol stopped a vehicle for violations. Further investigation led to the arrest of the 29-year-old male passenger from Morrisville for Possession of Xanax, Marijuana, and Drug Paraphernalia. He was taken into police custody.
Aug. 1
FRAUD — 2300 Lakeview Drive, reported at 9:54 a.m. The complainant reported receiving a credit card in the mail that they did not request.
July 31
IDENTITY THEFT — 200 block of Greenview Road, reported at 9:05 a.m. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) opened a bank account in their name.
FRAUD — Unit block of Manor Lane, reported at 10:40 a.m. The complainant reported being the victim of a gift card scam to pay a fraudulent PayPal debt.
July 30
FRAUD — 20000 block of Cornerstone Drive, reported at 1:20 p.m. The complainant reported that numerous unauthorized credit inquiries were on their credit report.
