BMW Stolen, Fleeing Vehicle Causes Crash: Lower Makefield Crimes
The Lower Makefield Township Police Department has released its blotter of criminal incidents for the past week.
LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — A BMW was stolen, but later recovered in Trenton, N.J. Meanwhile, police stopped a vehicle before it took off and crashed in a neighboring town.

Oct. 2
IDENTITY THEFT — 700 block of Oxford Valley Road, reported at 2 p.m. The complainant reported receiving a call from Citi Bank stating a credit card was opened in their name, and the card was used to purchase multiple firearm parts.

HARASSMENT & DISORDERLY CONDUCT — Unit block of Delaware Rim Drive, reported at 12:47 p.m. The complainant reported a disorderly person at the location screaming, cursing, and causing a disturbance. The 38-year-old township woman was to be summoned for harassment and disorderly conduct.
WANTED PERSON — Route 1 and Oxford Valley Road, reported at 9:47 p.m. Police on patrol stopped a vehicle for violations. A records check revealed the 30-year-old male driver from Philadelphia was wanted by Bucks County Adult Probation. He was taken into police custody.
ACCIDENT and DUI ARREST — 1700 block of Dobry Road, reported at 9:56 p.m. Police responded to the report of a vehicle that struck a parked vehicle. Further investigation led to the arrest of the 62-year-old female driver from Lower Makefield Township for Driving Under the Influence.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF — 300 block of Sherwood Drive, reported at 7:57 p.m. The complainant reported that an unknown person(s) smashed the rear window of their vehicle.
Sept. 30
FLEEING & ELUDING — Oxford Valley Road and Willow Pond Drive, reported at 9:35 a.m. Police on patrol observed a vehicle driving recklessly. Police attempted to stop the vehicle, but it continued to drive recklessly, eventually causing an accident in Newtown Township. Newtown Township Police took into custody a 22-year-old Morrisville man.
HARASSMENT — 2100 block of Graystone Lane, reported at 6:12 p.m. The complainant reported a juvenile being harassed by a neighbor. Witnesses corroborated the harassment. The 48-year-old woman from Lower Makefield Township was cited for harassment.
THEFT — 500 block of Heacock Road, reported at 6:57 p.m. The complainant reported the theft of a Mt. Fury mountain bike from their porch sometime between Sept. 27 and Sept. 30.
RETAIL THEFT — 500 block West Trenton Avenue at CVS, reported at 7:25 p.m. The store manager reported that two men entered the store and removed $948.52 worth of merchandise without paying.
Sept. 27
MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT — Unit block of Sutphin Pines reported at 8:23 a.m. The complainant reported that sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) stole the unlocked 2016 BMW 550i using the keys left inside. The vehicle was later recovered in Trenton, N.J. Their second unlocked vehicle was entered, but nothing was reported missing at this time.
THEFT FROM VEHICLE — 300 block of West Ferry Road, reported at 11:53 a.m. The complainant reported that sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) entered the unlocked vehicles and removed a Sig Sauer P365 firearm.
ATTEMPTED THEFT FROM VEHICLE — Unit block of Sutphin Pines, reported at 2:09 p.m. The complainant reported that sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and rummaged through it. Nothing was reported missing at this time.
Sept. 26
THEFT FROM VEHICLE — 1100 block of Kenneth Lane, reported at 11:19 a.m. The complainant reported that sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and removed $100 in cash.
RETAIL THEFT — 900 block of Vansant Drive at Wegmans, reported at 2:51 p.m. Loss Prevention reported that on Sept.24, an unidentified man and woman entered the store and removed $203.46 worth of Olaplex shampoo without paying. An investigation is ongoing.
