Woman Killed In Rte. 1 Crash Identified

Pennsylvania State Police have released the name of the 81-year-old Yardley woman who was killed in the Route 1 crash on Tuesday afternoon.

LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Pennsylvania State Police have identified the 81-year-old Yardley woman killed in a collision with a tractor-trailer on Route 1 in Morrisville on Tuesday afternoon.

The woman was identified as Vivian Angela Perri, 81, of Yardley, State Police said.

Perri's car was pinned by a tractor-trailer after authorities said she was driving the wrong way on the highway at the time of the crash.

The Pennsylvania State Police Troop M said that troopers responded at 1:13 p.m. Tuesday to the two-vehicle crash on Route 1 Southbound near the Trenton-Morrisville Bridge in Morrisville.

State Police said the woman was driving a 2024 Toyota northbound in the southbound lane when she struck a tractor-trailer on Route 1 Southbound by the Pennsylvania Avenue interchange.

The truck driver was taken to Jefferson Bucks Hospital for his injuries. State Police have not provided an update on his condition.

Perri was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, N.J., where she was pronounced dead.

The crash is being investigated by the State Police Trevose Patrol Unit.
