Burglars Left Hole In Wall, Illegal Solicitors: Lower Makefield Crimes

The Lower Makefield Township Police Department released its police blotter of criminal incidents for the week of Oct. 23.

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — Illegal solicitors and a burglary topped the criminal incidents the Lower Makefield Township Police Department released in its police blotter for the week of Oct. 23.

ATTEMPTED CREDIT CARD FRAUD — 200 block of Greenview Road, reported at 5:30 p.m. The complainant reported receiving a call regarding their credit card. The caller knew their credit card information and most recent purchases. No monetary loss at this time.

RETAIL THEFT — 900 block of Vasant Drive at Wegmans, reported at 5:38 p.m. Police responded to the report of a retail theft in progress. Further investigation led to the arrest of the wanted 35-year-old man from Elizabeth, N.J. for retail theft. He was taken into police custody. He was arraigned by District Justice Gaier and sent to BCCF in lieu of $10,000 with 10 percent bail.

Oct. 22

STALKING & HARASSMENT ARREST — 1300 block of Apple Blossom Drive, reported at 8:21 a.m. The complainant reported continued stalking and harassment by a known person. An investigation led to the arrest of the 35-year-old man from Lansdowne for stalking and harassment. He was taken into police custody. He was arraigned by District Justice Kronnagel and sent to BCCF in lieu of $500,000 with 10 percent bail.

SOLICITING WITHOUT PERMIT — 1500 block of Surry Brook Court, reported at 4:24 p.m. The complainant reported solicitors in the area without permits. They were gone upon police arrival.

Oct. 21

BURGLARY — 600 block of Floral Vale Blvd. at Yardley Oral Surgery, reported at 5:37 a.m. Police responded to the report of a burglary at the location, with a hole in the wall and the alarm sounding. Nothing was reported missing at the time.

Oct. 20

IDENTITY THEFT — 800 block of Weber Drive, reported at Noon. The complainant reported that an unknown person(s) using their social security number and purchasing properties in their name.

SOLICITING WITHOUT PERMIT — 1200 block of Longmeadow Lane, reported at 4:13 p.m. The complainant reported a solicitor for PECO in the area soliciting without a permit. They were advised to cease soliciting until a permit was obtained.

Oct. 19

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF — 1600 block of Quarry Road at Afton Elementary School, reported at 9:07 a.m. The complainant reported that an unknown person(s) defaced a sign with profanity.

Oct. 18

ATTEMPTED THEFT FROM VEHICLE — Unit block of Glenolden Road, reported at 9:28 p.m. The complainant reported that sometime overnight on Oct. 15, an unknown person entered the vehicle and rummaged through it. Nothing was reported missing at this time.

Oct. 17

IDENTITY THEFT — 1400 block of Woodview Road, reported at 9:51 a.m. The complainant reported that an unknown person(s) accessed multiple credit card accounts of theirs. No money loss was reported at this time.
