Child Left Alone In Dark At Lower Makefield Park: Police

Lower Makefield Police have charged a township woman with child endangerment for the incident on Tuesday night.

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — A township woman has been charged after allegedly leaving her child alone in the dark at a park on Tuesday night, police said.

The Lower Makefield Township Police Department responded to the 600 block of Deerbrook Drive at 8:40 p.m. Tuesday for the report of an abandoned child in Five Mile Woods.

A police investigation revealed that the child was located at Caiola Fields alone, in the dark.

Police said the child told them that their mother left them alone and ran into the woods after seeing police officers.

The 34-year-old woman was taken into police custody.

She was charged with endangering the welfare of a child. She was arraigned by District Justice Galloway and sent to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on $20,000 bail with 10 percent.
