Child Left In Car For Hour: Lower Makefield Crimes

The Lower Makefield Township Police Department released its blotter of criminal incidents for the last week.

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — A child was left inside a car alone for an hour outside a store in Prickett Preserve, the Lower Makefield Township Police Department reported in its blotter of criminal incidents last week.

WANTED PERSON — 500 block of West Trenton Avenue, reported at 11:11 a.m. Police on patrol stopped a vehicle for violations. A records check revealed a 24-year-old Bristol man was wanted out of Dauphin County. He was taken into police custody.

HINDERING APPREHENSION — Route 1 and Oxford Valley Road, reported at 3:40 p.m. Police received information regarding a wanted person in a stolen vehicle at the location. Police observed the vehicle and performed a traffic stop. The driver then fled from police. Charges are to be filed against a 31-year-old Trenton, N.J., man.

CREDIT CARD FRAUD — 600 block of Larch Court, reported at 3:14 p.m. The complainant reported the unauthorized use of their credit card for $29.99.

IDENTITY THEFT — Unit block of Sutphin Road, reported at 12:49 p.m. The complainant reported that an unknown person(s) switched their cell phone service without their knowledge. The victim was also notified of the unauthorized use of their credit card for $900. The victim also received notification from Experian that an identity breach was identified and someone attempted to open a Walmart account in their name.

DRUGS & DUI ARREST — 900 block of Vansant Drive, reported at 9:31 p.m. Police responded to the report of a possible domestic at the location. Upon arrival, police found a man passed out in the vehicle. Further investigation led to the arrest of a 39-year-old Richboro man for Driving Under the Influence, Possession of Crack Cocaine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was taken into police custody.

Nov. 11

ENDANGERING THE WELFARE OF A CHILD ARREST — 900 block of Vansant Drive at Paris Baguette, reported at 8:15 p.m. Police responded to the report of a child left unattended in the vehicle at the location. Further investigation revealed the child was left alone for about an hour. A 26-year-old woman from Sayreville, N.J. was charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Leaving Child Unattended in Vehicle.

Nov. 10

RETAIL THEFT — 1600 block of Big Oak Road at Kohl’s, reported at 11:23 a.m. Loss Prevention reported on Nov. 9 that an unknown man entered the store and removed four pairs of women’s Adidas sneakers without paying. An investigation is ongoing.

CREDIT CARD FRAUD — 600 block of Woodford Lane, reported at 6:24 p.m. The complainant reported an unauthorized use of their EBT card for $1,132.36.

Nov. 7

RETAIL THEFT — 900 block of Vansant Drive at Wegmans, reported at 4 p.m. Loss Prevention reported that on Nov. 6, an unknown man entered the store and removed $429.98 worth of merchandise without paying.
