Crack Cocaine Possession, Stolen Acura: Lower Makefield Crimes

The Lower Makefield Township Police Department has released its blotter of criminal incidents over the past week.

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Lower Makefield Township Police Department has released its blotter of criminal incidents over the past week, including numerous thefts from vehicles.

These are the criminal incidents:

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT — 1000 block of Harvard Drive, reported at 10:03 a.m. The complainant reported that sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and stole their 2018 Acura MDC. They received a phone call from Cinnaminson (N.J.) Police their vehicle was used in a theft of gas in their jurisdiction. Police were later contacted by Newtown Township. Police who advised the vehicle was used in several thefts from vehicles in their jurisdiction. Northampton Township Police said that a firearm was stolen from a vehicle in their jurisdiction, using this vehicle as well.

  • 1000 block of Harvard Drive, reported at 8:56 a.m. The complainant reported that sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) entered the unlocked vehicles and rummaged through them. Nothing was reported missing at this time.
  • 1000 block of Harvard Drive, reported at 9:07 a.m. The complainant reported that sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) entered the unlocked vehicles and rummaged through them. Nothing was reported missing at this time.
  • 1100 block of Pratt Drive, reported at 3:07 p.m. The complainant reported that sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and rummaged through it. Nothing was reported missing at this time.
  • 1300 block of Yale Drive, reported at 2:51 p.m. The complainant reported that sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and rummaged through it. Nothing was reported missing at this time.

THEFT — 500 block of American Drive, reported at 1:35 p.m. The complainant reported making a purchase online from what they later found out to be a fraudulent website.

Aug. 20

IDENTITY THEFT:

  • 900 block of Weber Drive, reported at 10 a.m. The complainant reported that an unknown person(s) opened an Xfinity Mobile account in their name.
  • 1700 block of Cypress Way, reported at 11:41 a.m. The complainant reported that an unknown person(s) opened an Xfinity Mobile account in their name.

THEFTS:

  • 300 block of Oxford Valley Road at O’Hara and Ward Associates, reported at 10:27 a.m. The complainant reported that an unknown person(s) intercepted a check and altered it. Total loss was $6,569.59.
  • 200 block of Grant Way, reported at 3:12 p.m. The complainant reported check fraud in the amount of $9,500.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF — 100 block of Old Oxford Valley Road, reported at 8:18 p.m. The complainant reported that an unknown person(s) punctured their tire.

Aug. 19

DRUG ARREST — 1000 block of Edgewood Road at the LMT Pool, reported at 4:48 a.m. Police on patrol conducted a traffic stop at the location. Further investigation led to the arrest of the 65-year-old female driver Lawrence Township, N.J. for possession of crack cocaine and methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

IDENTITY THEFT — 300 block of Ramsey Road, reported at 11:30 a.m. The complainant reported that an unknown person(s) opened a Medicare account in their name in 2022.

Aug. 15

FRAUD — 200 block of Anderson Road, reported at 10:30 a.m. The complainant reported that an unknown person(s) intercepted a check and altered it. Total loss was $4,200.

WANTED PERSON — Big Oak Road and Derbyshire Road, reported at 1:49 p.m. Police received an LPR hit for a stolen vehicle in the area. Police conducted a felony traffic stop on the vehicle. An investigation revealed that vehicle information was entered incorrectly for a stolen trailer. A records check revealed the driver had several warrants out of Luzerne County. The 32-year-old Trenton, N.J. man was taken into police custody and charged with False ID to Law Enforcement. He was arraigned by District Justice O’Neil and sent to BCCF in lieu of $2,500 bail.
