LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —The Lower Makefield Township Police Department has released its blotter of criminal incidents for the past week, which included a marijuana arrest and cryptocurrency fraud.

THEFT — 1300 block of Pepperbush Court, reported at 8:57 a.m. The complainant reported unknown person(s) intercepted a check and altered it. Total loss was $1,976.35.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF — 700 block of Township Line Road, reported at 4:20 p.m. The complainant reported unknown person(s) attempted to enter the locked vehicle, breaking the door handle.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT — 900 block of Stony Hill Road, at Shady Brook Farm, reported at 6:06 p.m. Police responded to the report of a disoriented woman at the location, wandering the parking lot, with a language barrier and no working cell phone. Further investigation revealed she was dropped off by her daughter at 3 p.m. to attend the Grange Fair and picked up at 7:30 p.m., nearly an hour after being contacted by police. The 45-year-old Feasterville-Trevose woman was cited for Disorderly Conduct.

Aug. 13

IDENTITY THEFT — 1200 block of University Drive, reported at 10:47 a.m. The complainant reported being notified that an unknown woman attempted to obtain an auto loan and purchase a vehicle in their name.

Aug. 12

FRAUD — 1200 block of Madison Drive, reported at 10:33 a.m. The complainant reported investing $44,000 into what they believed to be cryptocurrency. When attempting to transfer the money, they received an error message, and the money was not transferred.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT — Unit block of Delaware Rim Drive, reported at 1:04 p.m. Police responded to the report of a disorderly person at the location. Further investigation revealed the 38-year-old Lower Makefield Township woman had violated her bail conditions. She was cited for disorderly conduct, and a bench warrant was issued for her arrest for violating bail conditions.

Aug. 11

CREDIT CARD FRAUD — 800 block of Weber Drive, reported at 4:23 p.m. The complainant reported unauthorized use of their credit card for $1,595.80.

SOLICITING WITHOUT PERMIT — 1300 block of Fountain Road, reported at 5:16 p.m. The complainant reported that a solicitor for Greenix was soliciting without a permit. They were advised to cease soliciting until a permit was obtained.

Aug. 9

DRUG ARREST — Oxford Valley Road and Big Oak Road, reported at 2:08 a.m. Police on patrol stopped a vehicle for violations. Further investigation led to the discovery of marijuana. The 53-year-old male driver from Lower Makefield Township was taken into police custody. He was charged with possession of marijuana and oxymetholone, possession of drug paraphernalia, and related charges.
