Donate A Coat, Meet Ex-Eagles Player In Yardley

YARDLEY, PA — A former Philadelphia Eagles star will help kick off a winter coat drive for neighbors in need in Yardley on Sunday.

Visitors to ShopRite, at 1603 Big Oak Rd., are invited to donate a new or gently worn coat at the store and meet with former Eagles tight end Brent Celek.

Coat donations will be accepted at the store from Sunday, Dec. 8, through Jan. 25. Celek will be at the store from 1-2 p.m. Sunday.

All coats collected will be donated to One Warm Coat, a national nonprofit that provides free, warm coats to people in need.

ShopRite is partnering with Vicks to get coats for the drive. Since One Warm Coat began in 1992, volunteers have hosted more than 35,000 coat drives and more than 6 million coats have been distributed to people in need.
