Lindenhurst Road Closing For 3 Months
A PECO utility construction improvements project will shut the road in Lower Makefield and Newtown townships starting Tuesday.

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —PECO Energy will begin performing utility construction on Lindenhurst Road in Newtown and Lower Makefield townships over the next three months.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has announced a detour for drivers to follow.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

- Tuesday, Jan. 7, through Wednesday, April 30, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Lindenhurst Road will be closed and detoured weekdays between Route 332 (Newtown Bypass) and Route 532 (Washington Crossing Road). During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Route 332 (Newtown Bypass), Durham Road, and Route 532 (Washington Crossing Road).
Local access will be maintained up to the work zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through or near the work area because backups and delays will occur.

PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
