YARDLEY, PA — A new restaurant featuring lobster rolls is coming to Main Street in Yardley.

La La Lobster, at 35 S. Main St., has set Oct. 3 as an opening date.

The Yardley restaurant is one of three in the works by owner Nicole Rabena, a 20-year food-service veteran who began her career working at the Ritz Carlton. Other locations are planned in Spring House and Princeton, N.J.

"I was taught how important the customer really is and to exceed your expectations even with the simple things," she said. "We have decided to do just that, keep it simple and do it excellent."

The La La Lobster menu simply features lobster and shrimp rolls and bowls, a grilled cheese for kids and two desserts.

If you are up for a challenge, the $50 "Monstah Roll" features a full pound of lobster. Anyone who finishes one off will get a free t-shirt and a picture on the restaurant's website.

Rabena said the restaurant's name is a tribute to the way her daughter, Bella, would say the name of one of her favorite foods.

"With a special needs child in the family, every day is exciting ...," she said. "With our beautiful Bella in mind, we have decided to forever cherish and celebrate her style of speech. When you stop in for a bite to eat and Bella is there, please say hello."

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned for noon on Oct. 3, with live music and giveaways.
