Lower Makefield Twp. Board Of Supervisors Meeting: What To Know

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Lower Makefield Township Board Of Supervisors will be hosting their bi-monthly meeting on Wednesday, March 2.

The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. Before this, the Board will interview Andrew Flogel of the Economic Development Committee on upcoming matters for future meetings.

A series of community announcements will inform residents about upcoming opportunities for additional public comments and future activities. "During this portion of the agenda residents and Youth Organizations may call in to make a special announcement or contact the township at admin@lmt.org to request a special announcement be added to the agenda," the Board said on their agenda, which was published online.

Registration for community pools will be open for residents. It will be open on Wednesday before the discount period ends on March 4 at 4:00 p.m.

A traffic engineer is scheduled to make additional recommendations on updates to Sandy Run Road. This is expected to be a large project the Township will make a decision on.

A bench is planned to be installed at Memorial Park Project, with the Township working with a contractor to address ponding issues.

Permits for the Woodside Bike Path will be discussed. The Board submitted for a DEP permit on Feb. 25.

A signal upgrade at Big Oak/Makefield Road will also be discussed, as PennDOT has issued the permit for the upgrade to the traffic signal; the construction plan is underway.
