Lower Makefield Woman's SEPTA-Train Death Was Suicide: Police
The woman was struck on the West Trenton line near Big Oak Road shortly after 5 p.m. on Sunday, according to police.
LANGHORNE, PA — A woman from Lower Makefield was killed Sunday in Langhorne after being struck by a SEPTA train in what police are calling a suicide.
The deadly incident happened in the area behind 2475 Big Oak Rd., according to Middletown Township Police. Officers were called to the scene at 5:08 p.m. Monday and arrived one minute later.
Their investigation revealed that the 63-year-old woman's death "was not a pedestrian vs. train accident, but the intentional act of suicide," said Middletown Police spokesman Lt. Steve Forman.

Because of the nature of the incident, police are not releasing the woman's name.
The SEPTA train that was involved was an inbound train on the West Trenton Line regional rail. SEPTA Transit Police assisted Middletown Police at the scene.
