Man Charged With Handgun, Drug Possession In Yardley
Yardley Borough Police have a 30-year-old New Jersey man in custody for an incident that happened on North Main Street on Sunday.
YARDLEY, PA —A 30-year-old New Jersey man is in custody on weapons and drug offenses, the borough's police chief said.
Yardley Police Chief Joseph Kelly III said that on Sunday, a borough police officer enforcing a speed violation on North Main Street arrested a violator for speeding and possession of marijuana. The driver was processed and released, and the vehicle was impounded.
Two days later, on Tuesday, a search warrant was executed, resulting in the recovery of a handgun with an altered serial number and drug paraphernalia, the police chief said.

On Thursday, an arrest warrant was issued.
Falls Township Police said they had the suspect in custody. He was picked up by Yardley Police, the chief said.

The unnamed 30-year-old Garfield, N.J., man was charged with persons not to possess a firearm, possessing a firearm with an altered serial number, carrying a weapon without a license, and drug and drug paraphernalia possession.
He was processed, arraigned, and remanded to the Bucks County Jail with bail set at 10 percent of $250,000.
