Man Killed In I-95 Crash In Bucks County

The motorcycle rider was knocked off of his bike and struck the other driver's windshield in the Wednesday afternoon crash, police said.

BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA — A New Jersey man was killed Wednesday afternoon when the motorcycle he was driving crashed with a car on Interstate 95 in Bristol Township.

The crash, which snarled traffic on the busy interstate happened at 1:48 pm. on Wednesday, according to Pennsylvania State Police. It caused heavy delays on I-95 northbound and Exit 39 was shut down for several hours.

Police say Randy Reyes-Jaquez, 25, of Elizabeth, N.J., was thrown off of his Yamaha motorcycle when it was hit, at the exit, by a Chevy Cruz driven by Andre Letizio, 37, of Bristol. According to a police report, Reyes-Jaquez was going fast in the left lane of I-95, then crossed two lanes attempting to take the exit.

He pulled in front of Letizio, who was also taking the exit, and witnesses saw a puff of dense, white smoke coming from the motorcycle. Letizio tried to avoid the motorcycle but struck it, police said.

Reyes-Jaquez was knocked off of the motorcycle and hit Letizio's windshield before falling to the ground, according to police.

He was taken to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, in Philadelphia, where he was pronounced dead. Letizio was not injured, police said.
