LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — A 64-year-old Yardley man faces prison time for scattering nails and screws in the driveways of numerous township residents who displayed political signs supporting Donald Trump before the 2024 general election, authorities said.

Alaric Dalberg, 64, of Yardley, was sentenced Tuesday to two-to-23 months in Bucks County Prison and a concurrent 36 months’ probation after pleading guilty to charges related to politically motivated harassment, stalking, and criminal mischief incidents over several months.

“It is plain and simple, we will not tolerate politically motivated violence or threats of violence, ever," Bucks County District Attorney Jennifer Schorn said in a statement.

Dalberg must also pay a $1,000 fine, serve 100 hours of non-political community service, avoid contact with the victims, and cover all damage costs.

Authorities said Dalberg committed the crimes between October 2024 and February 2025. He admitted to storing nails for use in the crimes.

In one incident, Dalberg repeatedly threw screws and nails at the vehicle and parking space of a victim who was an employee at a local supermarket, authorities said. Another victim was a 76-year-old senior citizen, authorities said.
