Meth, Heroin Found As Police Thwart Theft In Lower Makefield

A Bristol woman was charged with possessing methamphetamines after trying to steal from a CVS store, police said.

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — A 40-year-old Bristol woman is in custody after being found with heroin and methamphetamines after police thwarted a theft at the CVS store late last week.

Lower Makefield Township Police responded to the 100 block of Oxford Valley Road at the CVS parking lot at 10 a.m. Thursday, after spotting a vehicle in the parking lot with two people sleeping inside.

A CVS employee told police that a third person was inside the store planning a theft. Police found the woman, who admitted to concealing items to avoid paying for the merchandise.

A records check revealed she had a warrant for a probation violation out of Bucks County. Police did not provide any information about the probation violation.

Police said the woman admitted to having methamphetamines when asked if she was concealing anything illegal. She agreed to a search of her belongings.

The woman was charged with possession of methamphetamines and heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was processed and turned over to the custody of the Bucks County Sheriff's Office.
