NJ Sex Offender Convicted In Assault Of Morrisville Girl
The registered sex offender was convicted of indecent assault of the 10-year-old girl in her Morrisville home in September 2024.

MORRISVILLE, PA — A registered New Jersey sex offender has been convicted of indecently assaulting a 10-year-old girl last year in the borough, authorities said.
Derrick Wyche, 58, of Newark, N.J., was found guilty on Wednesday on felony counts of indecent assault of a person less than 13 years of age and corruption of minors, the Bucks County District Attorney's Office said.
Sentencing will be deferred to a future date, authorities said.

Morrisville Borough Police met with the victim's mother on Oct. 23, 2024, after she reported that her 10-year-old daughter was assaulted at their home the month before.
A forensic interview was conducted with the victim at the Bucks County Children's Advocacy Center.

The victim told police that she was lying on the couch downstairs falling asleep when Wyche sat next to her, put a blanket on top of himself, and then grabbed her hand and placed it inside his pants.
She told investigators Wyche kept her hand there until he heard someone coming down the steps, authorities said.
During the investigation, it was confirmed that Wyche was a registered sex offender from New Jersey. He was later detained by New Jersey authorities.
