North Main Street Closing Tuesday For Sewer Main Repair

Yardley Borough officials said the work will cause some detours for drivers and residents on Tuesday.

YARDLEY BOROUGH, PA — North Main Street will be closed to thru traffic on Tuesday for sewer main repair, borough officials said.

Yardley Borough Councilman Jared Stump said that the road will be closed from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. for a sewer main to be repaired in front of 100 N. Main Street

Residents and drivers will not be able to get from Dolington Road to Afton Avenue via North Main Street. Residents of Whiskey Hill will be able to exit to North Main Street via Cold Spring Avenue or Jervue Drive and travel north only.

Residents of Yardley Walk will be able to exit to North Main Street via Wayfaring Lane and travel south only.

The road will be temporarily patched. The contractor will return to repave the road at a later date.

The work was planned for last week but changed due to the weather, Stump said.
