Democrats Maintain Lead For 6 Pennsbury School Director Seats

As unofficial results roll in, see where candidates stand who are vying for six seats on Pennsbury's school board.

FALLSINGTON, PA — Polls are closed across Bucks County for the 2021 general election, as voters have decided who will be the next school directors of the Pennsbury School District.

Six spaces were open on the nine-member board in this election, and twelve candidates were on the ballot vying to claim seats across the district's voting regions.

Bucks counted 40.8 percent voter turnout in this election, or 193,694 ballots cast out of 475,049 registered voters.

Pennsbury School Director Region 3 - 4 Year

In Region 1, which encompasses Yardley Borough and parts of Lower Makefield Township, candidates faced off for two seats with a four-year term. Democrats Lois Lambing and Josh Waldorf are "committed to giving our resilient students, inspiring educators, dedicated parents, and supportive community the resources they deserve," according to their campaign site. Victoria Czechowski and Pirooz Abir, as written on their campaign site, ran on a platform that "the only way to bring excellence back to Pennsbury is with significant change to the all-democrat, nine-person board."

Two candidates ran in Region 2, which covers Tullytown Borough and portions of Falls Township. Democrat Jim Prokopiak and Republican Liza Martin are vying for one two-year seat on the board.

Region 3 covers portions of Lower Makefield and Falls townships, with Jeannine Delwiche and Frank Cabanas competing for the two-year seat in this region. Delwiche, the Democratic candidate, is the editor of a scientific journal with a goal for Pennsbury programs to serve flexibility and distribution of resources across the district; Republican Cabanas is a maintenance technician running on a desire for an improved IEP program.

Four candidates are competing for two four-year seats in Region 3: Democrats Joanna Steere, a yoga instructor and community volunteer, and Linda L. Palsky, a pediatric nurse; and Republicans Jennifer Spillane and Tim Watkins.
