Police Activity Not ICE-Related In Morrisville, Police Chief Says
Morrisville Police Chief Rich Ciampa clarified reports Wednesday that ICE activity had taken place in the borough.
MORRISVILLE, PA — Immigration and Customs Enforcement did not conduct an operation in the borough on Wednesday morning, the police chief said.
Morrisville Borough Police Chief Rich Ciampa issued a statement Wednesday to clarify recent misinformation circulating on social media.
"Contrary to rumors, ICE was not conducting activity in the borough this morning," Ciampa said.

The police chief said that the police presence on West Bridge Street was unrelated to immigration enforcement matters.
"We encourage residents to rely on official sources for accurate information, and we remain committed to keeping our community informed and safe," Ciampa said.

ICE has been in the news this past week with protests in Los Angeles that had President Donald Trump bring in the National Guard and Marines to prevent violence from disrupting.
