Police Officer Takes Oath In Yardley Borough
Corey McConeghy was sworn in as a new police officer during Tuesday night's Yardley Borough Council meeting.

YARDLEY BOROUGH, PA — The Yardley Borough Police Department has a new officer in its ranks.
Police Officer Corey McConeghy was sworn in during Tuesday night's Yardley Borough Council meeting by Mayor Chris Harding.
McConeghy is a 2008 graduate of Council Rock High School North, a 2012 graduate of ITT Technical Institute with a major in Criminal Justice, and a graduate of Temple Police Academy, class 2015.

He comes to the borough with plenty of law enforcement experience, officials said.
McConeghy has worked for the U.S. Department of the Navy as a federal police officer with the rank of captain. He also served with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs as a senior federal police officer.

Meanwhile, the police department received a visit recently from an old friend.
Former Police Chief Thomas Krystkiewicz, who served Yardley Borough from 1991 until 2000, dropped by. Krystkiewicz was the borough's 7th police chief.
During his tenure, Krystkiewicz served as police chief, firearms instructor, municipal police instructor, and also a police instructor for Northwestern University.
After his tenure with YBPD, Krystkiewicz worked for the Federal Air Marshall Service.
He is now enjoying retirement with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
