Police Promotions Passed In Lower Makefield Twp.
Three police officers took the oath for their promotions at Wednesday's Lower Makefield Township Supervisors meeting.

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — New Police Chief Joseph Kelly III is getting his staff in shape.
At Wednesday's Board of Supervisors meeting, Chairman Daniel Grenier administered oaths to several newly promoted police officers before a packed room.

Capt. Timothy Reeves
Reeves was hired in 1999. His assignments have included K-9, narcotics, bike patrol, police explorer coordinator, Youth Police Academy instructor, and FTO program coordinator. Reeves is an assistant commander of Bucks County's MIRT and is also the township's emergency management coordinator.
Reeves served in the U.S. Army Reserve and deployed to Fallujah, Iraq, where he was awarded the Bronze Star. Reeves has a bachelor’s and master's degree from St. Joseph's University and graduated from Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command.

Lt. Brian Omlor
Omlor has served as a police officer for over 31 years, starting with Lower Makefield in 1996. Omlor has served in various assignments and ranks, including patrol officer, community policing/D.A.R.E. instructor, detective, and detective sergeant.
Omlor has served as the department’s accreditation manager since it received initial accreditation. Omlor, who has received numerous awards and commendations, holds a bachelor’s degree from Penn State University, and has completed several training programs.
Lt. Lawrence Hilghman
Hilghman has been a police officer in Bucks County for over 26 years, serving with Lower Makefield since 1999. Hilghman has served in various assignments and ranks, including patrol officer, corporal, and sergeant.
Hilghman has served as an Accident Investigator, a member of the Emergency Response Team, firearms and TASER instructor, and a member of the department’s motor patrol unit. Lt. Hilghman is also a member of the Bucks County Dive Team.
Hilghman has received numerous awards and commendations. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University and has completed several training programs in law enforcement.
