River Road To Close For Work On Scudder Falls Bridge

The weekday closure, in Lower Makefield and Yardley, will start next week and run through January.

LOWER MAKEFIELD, PA — Part of River Road in Lower Makefield Township and Yardley will be closed starting next week for work on the Scudder Falls Bridge.

The closure will be between Woodside Road and Afton Avenue. It will be from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. on weekdays, starting Monday, Dec. 7, and running through Monday, Jan. 4.

The closure will be for crews to erect bridge beams, according to the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission.

During the closure, drivers on River Road will be directed to use Woodside Road, Taylorsville Road/Main Street and Afton Avenue. They are encouraged to allow extra time when traveling through the area.
