Rubber Ducky Regatta Goes Digital For 2020
The 25th annual event, which had been scheduled for May, will be posted online in October.
WARMINSTER, PA — Add one more Warminster tradition to the list of events going virtual in 2020 due to the coronavirus.
The 25th annual Rubber Ducky Regatta, which had been postponed from its original date in May, will now be broadcast online this fall, according to Warminster Township officials.
In the race, which benefits Warminster's parks and recreation department, hundreds of rubber duckies float a quarter-mile down the Neshaminy Creek toward the finish line. The first four ducks to cross the finish line earn cash prizes for the owners of their tickets.

Traditionally, families are invited to picnic and watch the contest. But, with coronavirus concerns continuing, the live portion of this year's regatta is canceled. Instead, officials said this week, the virtual event will be aired some time in October.
The date and time have not yet been announced.
