Around 1990, a building project was planned in that section of Langhorne.
However, for about 200 years, word of mouth had passed on that Revolutionary War soldiers were buried in that land.
The town hired an anthropologist from Temple University to excavate.
They found bits of bones, nails, and wood. They concluded that more than 160 Continental (American) soldiers had been buried there.
