State Rep's Yardley Office Re-Opens After Coronavirus Scare

YARDLEY, PA — State Rep. Perry Warren's office in Yardley has been re-opened, nearly a week after its doors were shut due to concerns about spread of the coronavirus.

The office, at 91 S. Main St., opened Tuesday after a professional cleaning, Warren's office said.

Last week, the office was closed "as a precaution against community spread of COVID-19." While a news release said Warren himself was not known to have been exposed to the virus, a quote attributed to Warren asked anyone with COVID-19 who visited the office on or after Aug. 17 to inform contact tracers of that fact.

Staffers worked remotely while the constituent-services office was closed.

"Given the in-person traffic that my office experiences, the office was closed and professionally cleaned to safeguard against community spread of COVID-19," said Warren, a Democrat who represents Yardley, Lower Makefield, Newtown and parts of Morrisville. "Having completed these protective measures, residents of the district should know that it is safe to visit so long as we continue to follow CDC guidelines."

To follow social-distancing practices, constituents wishing to visit the office must make an appointment calling 215-493-5420 or emailing RepWarren@pahouse.net.

Anyone inside the office must wear a mask, practice safe distancing and adhere to other CDC guidelines, the news release said. Constituents who can't wear masks should call or email Warren’s staff for alternatives.
