Suspect Tried To Burglarize Same Yardley Home: PD

Yardley Borough Police charged a Morrisville woman with the burglary of a home on Dec. 3.

YARDLEY BOROUGH, PA — A burglar who hit a borough home earlier this month was back for another attempt on Monday, but this time the police were waiting.

The Yardley Borough Police Department said that a police officer spotted some "uncommon activity" at the same residence in the 100 block of South Delaware Avenue at 5:45 a.m. on Monday that was burglarized on Dec. 3.

Police arrested a 32-year-old Morrisville Borough woman and charged her with the burglary. She was processed, and the case is heading to court.

At 8:30 a.m. on Dec. 3, police officers responded to a report of an overnight burglary in the 100 block of S. Delaware Avenue. The victim reported that someone entered the residence through the back door and removed a safe and power tools.

That burglary occurred overnight between Tuesday, Dec. 2, and Wednesday Dec. 3. Police collected physical evidence that was sent for laboratory analysis.
