Trenton-Morrisville Toll Bridge Work To Reduce Lanes
Road resurfacing starts Thursday through Saturday on northbound Route 1 from Pennsylvania into New Jersey.

MORRISVILLE, PA —Drivers will see the Trenton-Morrisville Toll Bridge reduced to a single lane on northbound Route 1 starting Thursday morning and going into Saturday, bridge officials said.
Traffic will funnel into a single lane on Route 1 approaching the bridge from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, going north from Pennsylvania to New Jersey.
The northbound route is normally three lanes wide.

The Delaware River Joint Bridge Toll Commission said drivers may see "moderate travel delays" in the construction zone, which extends from the Delaware Canal viaduct on the Pennsylvania side in Morrisville to beyond the underpass at South Broad Street in Trenton on the New Jersey side.
The project involves repaving lanes, shoulders, and ramps in both directions and resealing and repairing concrete on the bridge.

The commission said the project is expected to last through October.
The Trenton-Morrisville Toll Bridge is the bridge commission's second-busiest bridge, with an average of 53,300 vehicle crossings per day.
Road-Con Incorporated is doing the roadwork, after winning a contract for up to $5.98 million last month. The commission-owned segments of Route 1 haven't been renewed since 2014.
