LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Lower Makefield Township Police Department reported several crimes that occurred in the area between Sunday, March 27, and Wednesday, March 30.

Sunday, March 27

- A case of criminal trespassing was reported from the Shop Rite on the 1600 block of Big Oak Road at 4:30 p.m. The store's Loss Prevention reported a 40-year-old woman and a 40-year-old, both from Levittown, entered the store after previously being banned due to a case of retail theft. The couple is to be cited for the incident.
- A case of retail theft was reported from the same Shop Rite at 4:29 p.m. The store's Loss Prevention reported an unknown man entering the store and removing $432.38 worth of merchandise without paying. The investigation is ongoing.
Monday, March 28
- A case of identity theft was reported from the 3800 block of Waltham Court at 11:05 a.m. The complainant reported an unknown person, possibly more than one, opening an account in their name.
- A case of identity theft was reported from the 1000 block of Princeton Drive at 1:15 p.m. The complainant reported an unknown person, possibly more than one, applying for unemployment benefits in their name.
- A drug arrest was made on the 1700 block of Quarry Road at 2:01 p.m. Police observed a suspicious vehicle at the location. A further investigation led to the discovery of the 43-year-old man from Newtown, who had warrants out of Bucks County and Ocean County, NJ. The man was taken into police custody and charged with Possession of Hashish, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Defiant Trespass, and Resisting Arrest. The 60-year-old female driver from Bristol was cited for Possession of Marijuana.
- A case of fraud was reported from the 1500 block of Brookfield Road at 3:19 p.m. The complainants reported receiving an email that they believed to be from McAfee and clicking on a link. The victims reported $250,000 being removed from their bank accounts.
- A case of fraud was reported from the 900 block of Slate Hill Road at 4:26 p.m. The complainant reported being contacted by who they believed to be their plumber via email, asking for payment through Zelle for a water heater. The victim sent $2,845 to this account, which turned out to be fraudulent and not the plumber.
- A case of counterfeiting was reported from the 1600 block of Langhorne-Yardley Road at the CVS at 8:05 p.m. The pharmacist reported receiving a counterfeit prescription from an unknown woman.

IDENTITY THEFT:
- A case of identity theft was reported from the 900 block of Countess Drive at 10:36 a.m. The complainant reported their child’s social security number being used to file a tax return for an unknown person.
- A case of identity theft was reported from the 500 block of South Dove Road at 3:22 p.m. The complainant reported an unknown person, possibly more than one, attempting to file for unemployment benefits in their name.
