Wegmans Bucks Supermarkets One Of Best Places To Work In Nation

BUCKS COUNTY, PA —Wegmans Food Markets, Inc. —which has two locations in Bucks County —has been named as one of the best companies to work for in 2024.

Great Place To Work and Fortune magazine recognized Wegmans as one of the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For® in 2024, marking the 27th time the company has made the list, company officials said.

This year, Wegmans is ranked in 6th place among the best companies to work for in the nation.

Wegmans has a new supermarket which opened last month in Lower Makefield Township and another location in Warrington.

The 100 Best Companies to Work For list is the only recognition that focuses on how employees feel about their workplace, company officials said.

Great Place To Work evaluates confidential feedback from employees, matching against HR data from participating companies. Only companies with consistently high survey responses across the 60 statements that comprise the Trust Index™ Survey are honored with placement on the list.

The Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For List is highly competitive. Great Place To Work, the global authority on workplace culture, selected the list using rigorous analytics and confidential employee feedback from more than 1.3 million U.S. employees. Companies are only considered for the list if they are Great Place To Work Certified™ organizations with 1,000 or more employees in the U.S.

Last year, Wegmans also ranked as a Best Workplace for Parents, Best Workplace for Women, and was ranked No. 1 on the Fortune Best Workplaces in Retail, officials said.

Customers and employees can celebrate the honor at 11 a.m. Saturday when mini cupcakes will be served at every Wegmans store. Customers who prefer a healthy option will get Clementine tangerines instead.
