Woodside Road In Lower Makefield To Close
The road will be shut down during the daytime starting next week and lasting for nearly a month.
LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — Woodside Road in Lower Makefield will be closed during the daytime for several weeks starting next week for wetlands work associated with the Scudder Falls Bridge project.
Woodside will be closed between River Road and Taylorsville Road starting Monday, PennDOT announced. The closure will be in place from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. through Thursday, April 15.
PennDOT said the wetlands excavation is being done by the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission.

During the closure, northbound drivers will be detoured to Taylorsville Road, Mount Eyre Road and River Road. Southbound motorists will be detoured to Taylorsville Road, Main Street, Afton Road and Delaware Avenue/River Road.
Local access will be maintained up to where construction work is being done.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area because backups and delays are expected. All scheduled activities are weather-dependent.
