Yardley Country Club Offers Scholarships to High School Golfers

The Board of Governors of the Yardley Country Club welcomes local high school golfers to apply for their third annual essay scholarship contest. Two students will be honored with free junior memberships at Yardley Country Club based on their award-winning essays.

To apply for the scholarship, students should submit a written essay that includes:

• Name, age, phone number, email address, GPA, and handicap.
• Goals - include those for golf, career, and life.
• Examples of community involvement and the positive impact golf has made on your life.

Essays should be no more than two typewritten single-spaced pages and can be emailed to YCCJuniorMembership@gmail.com or mailed to: YCC Scholarship Membership, 1010 Reading Avenue, Yardley PA 19067. Applications are due no later than June 20, 2018.

Rules & Eligibility:

• Must be a high school student currently enrolled in 9th grade or above and residing in Bucks County or Mercer County.
• Must have a GPA of 3.0 or better.
• May not be a current Yardley County Club member or immediately related to a Yardley Country Club member.
• Must not be a prior recipient of this membership.
• Must have played on their high school golf team (JV or V) current or prior year.
• Must not be a member of any other private GAP club.
• The application will include an essay where the students will be asked to explain their goals not only on the course but also off the golf course.
