Yardley Father, Son Launch Soccer Radio Show
The show will air Tuesdays on 610ESPN, starting this week.

YARDLEY, PA — A father-and-son team from Yardley will be talking soccer on the radio starting Tuesday.
"Soccer Talk," on 610ESPN, begins airing Tuesdays at 4 p.m. on Jan. 7. It's hosted by Rich and Rusty Gorelick, a pair of diehard soccer fans who will be discussing the English Premier League, other overseas leagues, Major League Soccer, the U.S. national teams and more.
Rich Gorelick told Patch he retired from being a corporate executive and lawyer last year. Rusty is a communications major. And both wanted to bring soccer to sports-talk radio, where fans have a hard time being heard amidst the talk about other sports.

"I had always wanted to get back into sports media," Rich Gorelick said. "We approached some people at the station last fall. Soccer is a mutual interest of ours, and we thought it would be fun to do this together."
On their Web page for the show, the pair argue that there's an audience out there for soccer talk.

"(S)occer fans are a fast-growing part of our population.," the page says. "The major European leagues get televised regularly in the U.S., as do the continental and world championships. More soccer players are in ESPN’s list of the most recognizable professional athletes in the world than players in any other sport. More kids play soccer than any other sport. Kids of all ages play FIFA, the most popular sports video game in the world."
Lots to discuss on tomorrow's show. We will do a sweep through Europe, where 3 of the 5 major leagues have close battles for the top spot, discuss the transfer window, introduce a few segments and take your calls. Be sure to tune in.
