Yardley Resident Wins Pickering Manor Car Raffle
Pat Carver was named the winner of the 9th Annual Pickering Manor Car Raffle, which saw $25,000 in ticket sales go toward the facility.

YARDLEY, PA — A Yardley resident was named the winner of the 9th Annual Pickering Manor Car Raffle on April 22.
Pat Carver was named the winner of the annual raffle, which is held at Pickering Manor, an assisted living facility in Newtown. As the winner, she was given the option of taking home a new car or $25,000. A representative from Pickering Manor told Patch that Ms. Carver went with the cash prize.
The second-place winner was Michael Giardinelli of Robbinsville, New Jersey, who took home a $1,000 Visa gift card.

The assisted living facility started the raffle almost a decade ago and the success was so great that they have made it a yearly event. This year's raffle saw almost 600 tickets sold and $25,000 raised for the facility. This was the second-most successful raffle they had held.
Ms. Carver was one of the 100 lucky ticket holders to attend a cocktail hour, where the winner was announced.
