3 RI Colleges Make LinkedIn List Of 50 Best For Long-Term Career Success

One Rhode Island school placed as high as 14th.

LinkedIn released its first-ever list of the top 50 U.S. colleges for long-term career success and three Rhode Island schools made the list.

One Rhode Island School, Brown University, finished as high as 14th.

Massachusetts had the most colleges on the list with eight. Pennsylvania was second with seven.

LinkedIn said the list was based on "five pillars: job placement; internships and recruiter demand; career success; network strength; and knowledge breadth."

"Each of the five pillars is weighed equally," the site said. "Most pillars are made up of two metrics, each accounting for half of that pillar's weight — except for job placement, which is based on a single metric accounting for the full weight of the pillar."

Here are the three Rhode Island schools and their rankings:

  • Brown University — 14
  • Bryant University — 38
  • Providence College — 49

The list represents colleges that "best set graduates up for long-term success," according to LinkedIn.
