WARWICK, RI — A laser was pointed at a jet flying within five miles of T.F. Green Internation Airport on Monday, according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

The FAA said the pilot of an Embraer 175 regional jet told aviation officials someone shined the laser pointer at the plane shortly after midnight. The plane was at an altitude of almost 1,900 feet.

FAA officials said they reported the incident to Warwick police. No suspects have been located.
