Renovations Complete At Warwick Movie Theater

WARWICK, RI — Showcase Cinema completed its multi-million dollar renovation of the Showcase Cinema de Lux movie theater on Quaker Lane.

In February, the theater added 4K projection, Dolby Atmos sound experience and a large screen format. And on Monday, a Showcase Cinema spokespersons aid the theater added a re-imagined lobby bar and concession area, a new box office and electric recliners in all auditoriums for reservation.

New concessions include Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs, Uno Express Pizzas, Pretzel Depot Hand-Rolled Pretzels, Starbucks Coffee, gourmet popcorn and over 40 candy varieties. The new lobby also offers a fleet of Coca-Cola Freestyle machines and ICEE Frozen Beverages. In addition, the lobby bar features hand-crafted cocktails on tap, premium spirits, and craft beers.

"With all of these new updates, we are thrilled to offer the Warwick community the best movie-going experience possible, and look forward to inviting customers and guests to experience all of the new features themselves during our Community Day on May 21," said Global Marketing Vice President Mark Malinowski. "The new XPlus Laser Premium Large Format auditorium with laser projection and Dolby Atmos sound has already proven to be extremely popular with our guests, and we’re excited to have completed this project in advance of the release of highly-anticipated films like ‘Downton Abbey: A New Era’ and ‘Top Gun: Maverick,’ plus many more coming this summer."

To celebrate the new features, the theater will offer $5 movie tickets on Saturday. There will also be activities, music and more.

The event is open to all ages and will include face painting, airbrush tattoos and balloon twisting from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Food sampling and special concessions will be offered throughout the day. Adding to the fun atmosphere, DJs from PRO-FM, LITE 105 FM, and HOT 106.3 FM will also be on site throughout the day, playing music, taking photos with fans, and giving out prizes to lucky winners.
