Rhode Island TF Green International Airport Going International

Breeze Airways will start flying to Cancun in February, the airport announced.

WARWICK, RI — Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport has "international" in its name, and starting this winter will have an international destination.

Breeze Airways will begin an eight-week trial route from Warwick to Cancun beginning in mid-February, the airport announced.

"This announcement is a major testament to our Team Members, Guests, and airport partners in Providence and the entire state of Rhode Island,” David Neeleman, Breeze Airways’ founder and CEO, said in a media release.

“Rhode Island isn’t just a base for Breeze, it’s where a growing number of our Guests and Team Members call home, and we take great pride in being able to provide the convenient, elevated service our Guests have come to love, now on this new international flight,” Neeleman said.

Travelers can already book tickets for February travel from T.F. Green to the Mexican spring break hotspot.

"Travelers are encouraged to book early, as this service is expected to be popular for both leisure travelers and those seeking a warm-weather getaway during the winter season," the release said.
